New officers e-oral health Network

Prof Uribe has been elected President for the period 2020-2022 of the e-oral Health Network, succeeding Prof Fernando Neves from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
"It is a privilege to serve the e-oral health network and I am very grateful for the leadership of those who preceded me, Prof Neves from Brazil and Prof Mariño from Australia. It is a great opportunity to contribute to this network and make visible in the dental community the advances in technology that allow us to deliver health, regardless of distance and physical barriers. This is even more relevant in the times we are living in, with a global pandemic. However, this situation also allows us to experience how millions of people are living in a permanent lockdown, either for health reasons or in remote communities," said Dr Uribe.
The e-oral Health Network is a network composed mostly of researchers and young professionals from 20 Divisions and Sections around the world, who give their talent and energy to improve oral health through information technologies, such as teledentistry, games and other mobile applications.
Along with Dr Uribe, the new officers are:
Vice President: Dr Mohammed Shorab, 2020 Australian/New Zealand
Secretary: Dr Janneke Francisca Maria Scheerman, 2023 Continental European, Inholland University
Treasurer: Dr Nicolas Giraudeau, 2020 Continental European, University of Montpellier
Councilor(s): Dr Harsh Priya, 2023 Indian, All India Institute of Medical Sciences
We would like to extend an invitation to all students at any stage in their education, researchers from both academic and industrial settings, and oral health professionals, to join the e-OHN, share their expertise, learn from one another and disseminate and discuss their research findings – for the advancement of knowledge in e-oral health and related research areas.
